3D Marshmallow Stitch Crochet Tutorial
The Marshmallow Stitch offers a delightful 3D texture to your crochet projects, adding a unique and eye-catching dimension.
While its 3D effect may seem complex, it's actually quite manageable. The pattern primarily consists of double crochet variations and clusters, making it accessible for crocheters.
This charming pattern is well-suited for crafting cozy blankets and stylish wearables that demand a plush and playful fabric. It shines brilliantly in a single color but truly dazzles when worked in multiple colors.

Ch1 at the end of each row does not count as a stitch
stitches contained within ** are the repeat section for that row
the section between ( ) is crocheted in the same stitch or chain space

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from the hook, *ch3, sk3, sc in next*, repeat from * until the end of the row, turn.
Row 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), *(5dc) in next ch3 space*, repeat from * until you crocheted in last ch3 space, dc in last stitch, ch1, turn.
Row 3: sc in first stitch, *ch3, fpdc10tog, ch3, sc in the space between the groups of 5dc below*, repeat from * until the end of the row (at the end, you sc in the space between the 5dc and the ch3 made on Row 2), turn.
Row 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), *(5dc) in next ch3 space*, repeat from * until you crocheted in last ch3 space, dc in last stitch, ch1, turn.
Row 5: sc in the first stitch, fpdc5tog, ch3, sc in the space between the groups of 5dc below, *ch3, fpdc10tog, ch3, sc in the space between the groups of 5dc below*, repeat from * until you have 1 group of 5dc left, ch3, fpdc5tog, sc in the space between the group of 5dc and the ch3 you made on Row 4
Repeat Rows 2-4 until you have the desired length.
Would be nice to see tutorials on row 3 and 5. And why doesn't row 5 repeat?
