Crochet Basics: Mini Triangles Stitch

Turn ch 1, ch 2, ch 3 does not count as a stitch in the entire pattern unless otherwise indicated.

Stitches over a ch 1 gap are worked in the ch 1 gap unless otherwise indicated. The pattern is written in crochet shorthand.

For example:

“sc 1” means to single crochet in the next stitch,

“sc 2” means to single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches,

and “2 sc” means to single crochet twice in the next st.

Instructions

With your 5.5mm / US I- 9 hook ch 20 + 2.

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from the hook, [dc, dc around the post of the previous dc, skip 1] repeat until last 2 st, skip 1, dc, turn. <20 st>

Row 2: Ch 2, dc, skip first space between first dc and first triangle on the previous row, [dc in between the triangles of the row below, dc around the post of the dc just made] repeat until last triangle, dc in between the last triangle and dc of the row below, dc around the post of the dc just made, dc in the last st, turn.

Repeat Row 2 until you reach 15 cm / 6”.

Blocking

When you’re done with the crocheting part, make sure to weave in all the ends.
