Instructions:

Techniques used in this pattern (British term / American term):

Chain stitch – ch

Slip stitch – sl.st

Treble / Double crochet – tr/dc

Half treble / half double crochet – h.tr / h.dc

Front Post tr /dc – FPtr/dc:

work just like normal tr/dc but insert your hook from front to back between the first and second stitches of the row below, and then from back to front again between the second and third stitches.

Back Post tr /dc – BPtr/dc:

work like normal tr/dc but insert your hook from back to front between the the first and second stitches in the row below, and then from front to back again between the second and third stitches.

Front Post 6 half treble puff stitch / 6 half double crochet puff stitch – FPpuf.st: Yarn over and insert your hook like for FPtr/dc, draw up a loop about 1 cm long.

Repeat this step 5 times.

Yarn over and draw through 12 loops, yarn over and draw through 2 loops.

Foundation Chain: make 54 ch.

Row 1: skip 3 ch, 1 tr/dc in each of next 13 ch, *5 tr/dc in next ch; rep from * 1 time, 1 tr/dc in each of next 10 ch, *5 tr/dc in next ch; rep from * 1 time, 1 tr/dc in each of next 24 ch, turn.

Row 2: 2ch, 6 FPtr/dc , 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc , 40 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc , 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in third ch, turn.

Row 3: 2ch, 6 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf.st, 6 BPtr/dc, 40 FPtr/dc, 6 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf. st, 6 BPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 4: 2ch, 5 FPtr/dc , 3 BPtr/dc, 5 FPtr/dc , 40 BPtr/dc, 5 FPtr/dc , 3 BPtr/dc, 5 FPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc

in second ch, turn.

Row 5: 2ch, 5 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf. st over next of 3 stitches, 5 BPtr/dc.

Step 1. Work this step 4 times over next 40 stitches:

Crochet 10 FPtr/dc, 2ch, make 1 FPtr/dc over last stitch, then turn and work 9 BPtr/dc. Turn, make 2 ch and 10 FPtr/dc. Work 2ch, make 1 FPtr/dc over last stitch, then turn and work again 9 BPtr/dc. Turn, make 2 ch and 10 FPtr/dc,

2 ch, work 1 sl.st in first space of 2 ch, 2ch, 1 sl.st in next space of 2ch and 1 sl.st in last FPtr/dc below.

Now you have four cable parts.

Continue crochet the row: 5 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf. st over next of 3 stitches, 5 BPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 6: 2ch, 6 FPtr/dc , 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc.

Step 2:

Crochet 10 BPtr/dc over second part of cable (see pictures). Hold in front the first part of cable.

Make 5 ch, drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook from back to front under the top 2 loops of the first stitch of the group, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

Now work 10 BPtr/dc over first part of cable. Repeat this step over next 20 stitches.

Continue crochet the row: 6 FPtr/dc, 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 7: 2ch, 6 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf.st, 6 BPtr/dc, 40 FPtr/dc, 6 BPtr/dc, 1 FPpuf.st, 6 BPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 8: repeat row 4.

Row 9: 2ch, 5 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf. st over next of 3 stitches, 5 BPtr/dc, 10 FPtr/dc.

Work "Step 1" two times over next 20 stitches.

Now you have two cable parts.

Continue crochet the row: 10 FPtr/dc., 5 BPtr/dc , 1 FPpuf. st over next of 3 stitches, 5 BPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 10: 2ch, 6 FPtr/dc, 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc, 10 BPtr/dc.

Step 3:

Crochet 10 BPtr/dc over second part of cable (see pictures). Hold in front this part. Now work 10 BPtr/dc over first part of cable. Make 5 ch, drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook from back to front under the top 2 loops of the first stitch of the group, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

Continue crochet the row: 10 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc , 1 BPtr/dc, 6 FPtr/dc, 1 h.tr / h.dc in second ch, turn.

Row 11: repeat row 7 - 5.

Repeat rows 4 - 11 until you have reached your desired length.
