Linen Stitch Square Crochet Pattern
Ch 44 to start
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 1, skip next chain, sc in next. Repeat from * across. Turn
Row 2: Ch 1, Sc in same st as ch 1 and in next ch-1 space. *Ch 1, skip next sc, Sc in next ch-1 space. Repeat across until 1 st remains. Sc in last. Turn
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as ch 1, *ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 space. Repeat across until 2 sc remain. Ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in last. Turn.
4-41: Repeat rows 2 and 3 until your block is square. On last row, do not turn and continue to border.
Border
Ch 1, sc evenly around placing 3 sc in each corner stitch. Join to top of 1st sc with sl st. I found that placing 2 sc in each sc along bottom an top rows rather than 1 sc in each sc and ch worked out really well.
Block if desired.
I really enjoy learning new stitches. Thank you for all your hard work.
