1. Wear protective gloves
The easiest way to keep your hands soft and moist is to protect them when handling dirt, mud or cleaning products. Even latex allergy sufferers can rest easy knowing that there are many different types of protective gloves, including vinyl, nitrile, and neoprene gloves that are widely available today. You can find them in the cleaning area of any grocery store or supermarket.
2. Use aloe vera extract
Aloe vera extract has long been a staple in beauty products and is used in both commercially manufactured products and quick home remedies. Aloe vera extract is very useful in keeping your hands supple, as it contains a large amount of polysaccharides that serve to moisturize your skin in a healthy way. Take some aloe vera gel, rub it on your hands and rinse it off after half an hour. If you do this twice a day, your palms will become soft in no time.
3. Exfoliate often - use coffee or sugar palm scrub.
Exfoliating your hands will help remove dirt, germs, dead skin and improve circulation. It's easy to make your own hand scrub that will leave your hands clean, moisturized and incredibly soft.
In most cases, the main reason your hands are not moisturized enough is because of dry skin on the surface. These scales prevent the good, healthy skin underneath from being adequately moisturized. A sugar mixture that you use to scrub off these scales will help exfoliate and allow your skin to breathe well. A small mixture of coconut oil and sugar is all you need to scrub your hands and then apply a moisturizer.
4. Do not pick or bite
Biting nails or picking at dry cuticles is a surefire way to make your hands look in bad shape. Keeping your cuticles and nails soft and moisturized can help you resist temptation. So keep a brush handy for application whenever you are tempted to pluck or bite.
5.Use geranium oil.
Thanks to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, geranium oil can help with a variety of skin problems. Add 5 drops of geranium oil to 1 teaspoon of rosehip oil and massage it onto your hands once or twice a day. (You can also apply it before bed and put on a pair of cotton gloves so you do not have to worry about touching things with oily hands).
6. Moisturize frequently
Regular moisturizing is the key to soft, supple hands that stay that way for years. A homemade body butter is a great option for those whose hands are already pretty smooth, but when they really need help.
7. Apply sweet almond oil
The presence of moisture ensures that your hands stay soft. Naturally occurring fatty acids play an important role in this, and sweet almond oil is high in them. Simply rub some almond oil on your hands and leave it on until the oil is absorbed by the skin. You should do this at least once a day. You can also leave it on overnight.
