Instructions:
Row 1
1. Start by chaining a multiple of six plus two. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.
2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.
3. Chain one.
4. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet.
5. Chain one.
6. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
7. Chain three.
8. Skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
9. Then repeat: chain one.
10. Skip one stitch and make single crochet in the next stitch.
11. Chain three, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
12. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row, until you have four stitches left.
13. Then chain one.
14. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
15. Chain one.
16. Make a single crochet in the last stitch.
Row 2
17. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.
18. Make a double crochet in the first chain one space.
19. Then make the second double crochet in the same chain one space.
20. Make a single crochet in the next chain one space.
21. Then make five double crochets in the next chain three space.
22. Make a single crochet in the next chain one space.
23. Then repeat: make five double crochets in the next chain three space, make a single crochet in the next chain one space.
24. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
25. At the end of the row make two double crochets in the last chain one space.
26. Then make a double crochet in the last stitch.
Row 3
27. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.
28. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.
29. Chain one.
30. Make a single crochet in the next stitch.
31. Chain one.
32. Skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
33. Chain three.
34. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
35. Chain one, skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
36. Chain three, skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
37. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. Then chain one as usually.
38. Skip three stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

40. Make a single crochet in the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-3.
