- Soft FRAYA Cotton 8/4 100% Organic cotton 50g – 180 m yarn, color: navy blue
- 2.0 mm hook
Instructions
Row 1
1. Start by chaining a multiple of three. You will start working in the fourth chain from your hook.
2. So, make a double crochet in the fourth chain from your hook.
3. Continue making double crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.
Row 2
4. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one counts as a stitch.
5. Make a double crochet in the first stitch.
6. Make another double crochet in the same stitch.
7. Skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the next stitch.
8. Make a double crochet in the same stitch.
9. Make another double crochet in the same stitch.
10. Then repeat: skip two stitches and in the next stitch make a single crochet and two double crochets.
11. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
12. At the end of the row skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the turning chain.
Row 3
13. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.
14. Make a double crochet in the second stitch.
15. Continue making double crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.
16. At the end of the row make a double crochet in the turning chain (in the chain one).
Row 4
17. Chain two and turn your work around. Chain two counts as a stitch.
18. Next you will make a front post double crochet in the second stitch. So, yarn over.
19. Insert your hook bringing the post of the second stitch to the front.
20. Yarn over.
21. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.
22. Yarn over.
23. Pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have two loops on your hook.
24. Yarn over.
25. Pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a front post double crochet!
26. Make another front post double crochet in the next stitch.
27. Continue making front post double crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.
28. At the end of the row make a half double crochet in the last stitch.
Row 5
29. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.
30. Make a double crochet in the second stitch.
31. Continue making double crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.
32. At the end of the row make a double crochet in the turning chain. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 2-5.
