Leaping Stripes Crochet Tutorial

This crochet stitch involves a simple two-row repeat, making it ideal for a relaxing crocheting session. You can use this pattern for creating beautiful blankets or stylish wearables. While it looks stunning in a single color, it truly shines when worked in multiple colors. What makes this stitch unique is the way you work double crochet stitches into skipped stitches from the previous row, right over the chains between the double crochets. This creates a visually intriguing jagged zig-zag pattern. It's an excellent choice for adventurous beginners looking to expand their crochet skills.

Instructions

Pattern Notes

  • To adjust the size, chain a multiple of 4 + 2 for the foundation chain.
  • When changing colors for a border, do not cut the yarn. Instead, drop the unused yarn and pick it up two rows later.
