- 2.5 mm crochet hook
Instructions:
Row 1
1. Start by chaining an even number of chains. You will start working in the fourth chain from your hook.
2. You will make a double crochet five together in the fourth chain from your hook. So, yarn over.
3. Insert your hook in the fourth chain and yarn over.
4. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.
5. Yarn over.
6. Pull the yarn through the first two loops. The first leg of the double crochet five together is ready.
7. Yarn over.
8. Insert your hook in the same stitch and yarn over.
9. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.
10. Yarn over.
11. Pull the yarn through the first two loops. Now you have three loops on your hook. The second leg is ready.
12. Make the third leg in the same way. Now you have four loops on your hook.
13. Make the fourth leg. Now you have five loops on your hook.
14. Make the fifth leg. Now you have six loops on your hook.
15. Yarn over.
16. Pull the yarn through all loops on your hook. You have just made a double crochet five together!
17. Chain one.
18. Skip one stitch and make a double crochet five together in the next stitch.
19. Chain one.
20. Then repeat: skip one stitch, make a double crochet five together and chain one.
21. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a double crochet five together. At the end of the row don’t chain one as usually.
Row 2
22. Chain three and turn your work around.
23. Then make a double crochet five together in between the first and the second cluster of the previous row.
24. Chain one.
25. Make another double crochet five together in between the next two clusters of the precious row and chain one.
26. Then repeat: make a double crochet five together in between the next two clusters and chain one.
27. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
28. At the end of the row make the last double crochet five together in the turning chain space. Don’t chain one as usually. For the rest of the pattern repeat row 2.
