Crochet Wave Ripple Stitch

Chain stitch – ch

Double crochet / Single crochet – dc/sc

Treble / Double crochet – tr/dc

Double treble / Treble – d.tr/tr

Decrease dc/sc

Stitch – st

Instructions

Long treble / long double crochet – L.tr/dc: yarn over; insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over, draw up a long loop. The loop should be roughly the same size as 5 chains.

Then yarn over, and draw through the 2 loops on the hook, repeat preceding step.

Foundation Chain: Multiples of 19 + 6

Row 1: Skip 5ch, * 5 L.tr/dc in next ch, ** 1 L.tr/dc in next ch, skip 1 ch; rep from ** more 7 times, 1 L.tr/dc in next ch, 5 L.tr/dc in next ch; rep from *, make 1d.tr/tr in last ch, turn.

Row 2: Make dc/sc and decrease dc/sc in back loops only.

Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in d.tr/tr, then work decrease dc/sc across the row:

{ insert hook into first st, yarn over the hook and draw yarn through the first st, insert hook into second st, yarn over the hook and draw yarn through the second st, yarn over the hook and draw yarn through all loops on your hook.} Continue instruction in {} working each decrease dc/sc over two sts below: insert your hook into 2nd and 3rd sts, 3rd and 4th st, 4th and 5th st, 5th and 6th st, ect. Work 1dc/sc in 5th ch at the end of the row, turn.

Row 3: Make L.tr/dc in back loops only.

Make 5ch, * 5 L.tr/dc in next st, ** 1 L.tr/dc in next st, skip 1st; rep from ** more 7 times, 1 L.tr/dc in

next st, 5 L.tr/dc in next st; rep from *, make 1d.tr/tr in last dc/sc, turn.

Repeat rows 2 - 3 until you have reached your desired length.

Colors & rows:

* 1 – blue, 2 – light blue, 3 – white, 4 – dark red, 5 – pink, 6 – light pink, 7 - turquoise *.
