Pattern Instructions
The Offset Cobble Stitch is worked on the wrong side which means that the textured bobbles you create will be on the side which is away from you. To show you what each row looks like, I have put pictures of both the front and back of the rows so you know what the pattern should look like.
Starting Chain:
This pattern requires you to chain multiples of 2ch. My starting chain is 22ch.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, ch1, turn.
Row 2: *sc, tr*, repeat from * until you have 1st left, sc, ch1, turn (picture shows back & front of row 2).
Row 3: sc in each stitch across, ch1, turn.
Row 4: sc, *sc, tr*, repeat from * until you have 2sts left, sc in last 2sts, ch1, turn (picture shows back & front of row 4).
Row 5: sc in each stitch across, ch1, turn.
Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you have the desired length.
This is perfect if you want the bobble texture but you don’t want to spend a lot of time making it or use a lot of yarn. Because it has a flat back, it works great for clothes, accessories and, of course, blankets and afghans.
