V-Stripe Stitch Crochet Pattern Photo Tutorial

This is not an official crochet stitch but a stitch pattern or stitch combination that I stitched together one evening. It creates a slight lace pattern look.
The V-Stripe Stitch uses the chain, and double crochet to create this pretty 2-row repeat stitch.
Projects that would look lovely with this crochet stitch include: market bags, swimming suit cover ups, light scarves, shawls, light weight blankets.

Materials
- Bernat Softee Cotton (Light/ Size 3 Yarn)
- Size H 5mm Crochet Hook
Abbreviations
- CH – Chain
- DC – Double Crochet
- ST(s) – Stitch(es)
Note
- Turning chain (CH2) is not counted as a stitch.
Instructions
Starting Chain: Work any Multiple of 3 + 4 chains.
Row 1: DC in the 3rd CH from the hook and every CH across. (Stitch count will be 2 less than your starting chain number.)
Row 2: CH2, turn, DC in first ST, Skip 1 ST, *(DC, CH1, DC) in next ST, Skip 2 STs* repeat from *to* until you only have 1 ST left unworked after the last repeat. DC in last ST.
Row 3: CH2, turn, DC in each ST and CH 1 space across.
Continue to repeat rows 2 and 3 until the project is the desired length.
