  • Hjertegarn DIAMOND mercerized cotton 100% 8/4 50 g yarn, color: 3304 (lilac)
  • 2.0 mm hook

Instructions

Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of three. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.

2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.

3. Continue making single crochets in every stitch until the end of the row.

Row 2

4. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

5. Skip two stitches and make a double crochet in the fourth stitch.

6. Chain one. Next you will make a double crochet two stitches back (in the second stitch).

7. So, yarn over.

8. Insert your hook two stitches back and yarn over.

9. Pull the yarn through. Now you have three loops on your hook.

10. Yarn over.

11. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.

12. Yarn over.

13. Pull the yarn through both loops.

14. Skip two stitches and make a double crochet in the next one.

15. Chain one.

16. Make a double crochet two stitches back.

17. Then repeat: skip two stitches, make a double crochet in the next stitch, chain one and make a double crochet two stitches back.

18. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

19. At the end of the row make a double crochet in the last stitch.

Row 3

20. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

21. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

22. Make another single crochet in the next stitch.

23. Then make a single crochet in the chain one space.

24. Make two single crochets in the next two stitches.

25. Then repeat: make a single crochet in the chain one space, make two single crochets in the next two stitches.

26. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

27. At the end of the row make a single crochet in the turning chain.

Row 4

28. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three counts as a stitch.

29. Skip two stitches and make a double crochet in the fourth stitch.

30. Chain one. Next you will make a front post double crochet in the first double crochet two rows below.

31. So, yarn over.

32. Insert your hook bringing the post of the first double crochet two rows below to the front.

33. Yarn over.

34. Pull the yarn through. Make sure to make a tall loop. Now you have three loops on your hook.

35. Yarn over.

36. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.

37. Yarn over.

38. Pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a front post double crochet.

39. Skip two stitches and make a double crochet.

40. Chain one.

41. Make a front post double crochet in the first double crochet two rows below.

42. Then repeat: skip two stitches, chain one and make a front post double crochet in the first double crochet two rows below.

43. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

44. At the end of the row make a double crochet in the last stitch. For the rest of the pattern repeat rows 3-4.
