How to Crochet the Flower Stitch Photo Tutorial

The Crochet Flower Stitch is an easy repeatable pattern. I wanted to create a warm fabric that still has beautiful flowers in it and decided to use a stitch, which is similar to the crochet Lotus stitch and the Lace Flower Stitch.
This puff flower crochet blanket stitch is made by working 3 Puff stitches that are worked into a V stitch, while each puff is separated by a chain. The flowers are shifted aside with each repetition, so they won’t be stacking over each other.

(yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 4 times working into same st, yo and pull through 8 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.
Notes
- Ch2 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
- Stitch multiple: the pattern is s multiple of 18 sts + 18. For example: 18×2+18.
- “Flowers” in the stitch count represents [Puff, ch 1, Puff, Ch 1, Puff].
- When skipping stitches, V-st (dc, ch 1, dc) – counts as 3 stitches.
- The V-sts are aligned with the Flower’s center 3 rows below.

Row 6 (WS): Ch 2, 1 dc in next 7 dc.
* Skip next dc, V-dc in next dc, skip next dc, 1 dc in next 5 dc, (skip next Puff, 2 hdc in next ch-1 sp) x 2 times, 1 dc in next Puff, 1 dc in next 5 dc; Repeat from * to last 11 dc.
Skip next dc, V-dc in next dc, skip next dc, 1 dc in next 8 dc, turn.
Rows 7-10: Repeat rows 3-6.
Row 11 (RS): Repeat rows 3.
Row 12 (WS): Ch 2, 1 dc in next 6 dc, (skip next Puff, 2 hdc in next ch-1 sp) x 2 times, 1 dc in next Puff.
* 1 dc in next 13 dc, (skip next Puff, 2 hdc in next ch-1 sp) x 2 times, 1 dc in next Puff; Repeat from * to last 7 dc, 1 dc in next 7 dc, turn.
If you want to make this pattern longer, repeat rows 3-6 as long as you’d like, then work rows 11-12.
