How to Crochet the Perfect Stitch Photo Tutorial
The Perfect Stitch is a wonderful crochet stitch that would work wonderfully in a variety of crochet projects.
The Perfect Stitch crochet pattern creates a solid fabric with a continuous texture throughout. The majority of the texture is to the front side, but the back side of the fabric is still quite pretty. This means that I wouldn’t rule it out for your double sided crochet projects.

Pattern Notes:
- This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in a solid colour.
- To begin make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch you will need a multiple of 3 stitches, plus two for your foundation chain. For example, ch 32.
Instructions:
Row One: Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook and in each across. Ch 1, turn.
Row Two: Sc in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1, turn.
Row Three: Sc in the 1st st, *sc2tog spike over next 2 sts, ch 1; Rpt from * across, sc in final st. Ch 1, turn.
Row Four: Sc in the 1st st and in each st across (including each ch-st). Ch 1, turn.
And that’s it!
Repeat rows 3 and 4 for the rest of the pattern. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
