Instructions
Step 1
Chain a multiple of 10 plus 6 plus 1 for the turning chain. Next, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, crochet 1 sc in the next 2 chs. *Then skip 3 chs, and crochet 7 dc’s in the next ch. Skip 3 chs and then crochet 1 sc in each of the next 3 chs. Repeat from * until you have 4 chs left. Skip 3 chs and then crochet 4 dc’s in the last ch. Change colors during the last dc. Turn.
Step 2
Start with crocheting 2 sc’s in the first 2 sts, then ch 3. After that *crochet a 7 dc cluster over the next 7 sts. Ch 3 and crochet 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts and ch 3. Repeat from * until you have 4 sts left where you crochet a 4 dc cluster. Turn.
Step 3
Crochet an alternative turning chain and 3 dc in the same st. Then *crochet 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts. After that crochet 7 dc’s in the same st which is the top of the cluster from the previous row. Repeat from * until you have 2 sts left where you crochet 1 sc in each. Change colors during the last st. Turn.
Step 4
Crochet an alternative turning chain that you don’t finish and 3 dc in the next 3 sts, all together as a cluster (equivalent to a 4 dc cluster). Ch 3 and crochet *1 sc in each of the next 3 sts. Ch 3. After that crochet, a 7 dc cluster over the next 7 sts, then ch 3. Repeat from * until you have 2 sts left where you crochet 1 sc in each. Turn.
Step 5
Crochet 1 sc in the next 2 sts. *Then skip 3 sts, and crochet 7 dc’s in the next st. Skip 3 sts and then crochet 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts. Repeat from * until you have 4 sts left. Skip 3 sts and then crochet 4 dc’s in the last st. Change colors during the last dc. Turn
Step 6
Pattern repeat: Now repeat rows 2 through 5 as many times as you need to finish your project.
