Instructions for the Double Treble:
Start with any number of chains + 4chains. I have 20 chains here.
Yarn over 3 times. You will now have 4 loops on the hook
Insert into 5th chain on the hook and pull up a loop. You will now have 5 loops on the hook.
Then Yarn over and pull through two stitches on your hook at a time – you will do that a total of 4 times to make a tall stitch.
How to Double Treble Crochet Scarf:
This Double Treble Stitch Scarf makes a light and airy scarf that works up very quickly! Great for last-minute gifts.
Start with a chain of 16+ 4. Crochet a Double Treble into the 5th chain from the hook and every chain after. You should have 16 tall stitches.
At the end of your rows, Turn and chain 4 stitches. I consider this turning chain as a double treble itself and then crochet double trebles into each of the below stitches (skipping the first stitch). Make sure that you are making a DTR into the turning chain of the row beneath. Don’t skip that stitch! You should be maintaining the16 stitches.
Change color if desired at 1/3 the length. I worked each color for about 25 rows each for a total of 75 rows.
ALL DONE!
