- Crochet hook size I (5.5 mm)
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- RS = right side
Special Stitches:
Star (for border): Ch 6, sl st in fourth ch from hook to form a ring (turn slightly to begin working in ring), *ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, sc in ring,* repeat from * to * 4 times; sl st in same ch as first sl st to form the ring, sl st next 2 chs.
Border Instructions:
With Yellow, ch 1, sc in same st, [sc next 3 sts, *star (see special stitches), sc next 5 sts,* repeat from * to last 3 sts before ch-2 corner sp, star, sc next 3 sts, (sc, star, sc) in corner sp,] repeat around to last 4 sts, sc in last 4 sts, sl st to first st. (21 stars per side + 1 star in each corner = 88 stars)
