Abbreviations:

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

sc = single crochet

Row 1: ch in multiples of 3 (sample is 24 chains), dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped chains count as 1st st), dc in each ch to end. Turn

Row 2: ch 1 (counts as 1st sc st), 2 dc in same st, *sk 2 st, (sc, 2 dc) in next st,*

repeat between * * to last 3 st, sc in last st (skipped 3 ch from 1st row). Turn.

Row 3: ch 3 (counts as 1st st), dc in each st to end, dc in last st. Turn. NOTE: Do not forget the last st which is the ch 1 from the previous row!

Repeat Rows 2 -3 to desired size.
