The Boxed Picot Crochet Stitch Photo Tutorial

The boxed picot stitch is a repeat of two rows.

Materials:
- Soft FRAYA Cotton 8/4 100% Organic cotton 50g – 180 m yarn, color: eucalyptus
- 2.0 mm hook
Instructions:
Row 1
1. Start by chaining a multiple of six plus four. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.
2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.
3. Make three single crochets in the next three stitches. Next make a picot stitch. So, make a single crochet in the next stitch.
4. Chain four.
5. Make a single crochet in the same stitch. You have just made a picot stitch.
6. Then repeat: make five single crochets in the next five stitches.
7. Make a picot stitch in the next stitch: make a single crochet, chain four and a single crochet.
8. Then make five single crochets in the next five stitches.
9. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.
10. At the end of the row make four single crochets in the last four stitches.
Row 2
11. Chain three and turn your work around. Chain three does not count as a stitch.
12. Next you will make a treble crochet in the first stitch. So, yarn over twice.
13. Insert your hook in the first stitch and yarn over.
14. Pull the yarn through. Now you have four loops on your hook.
15. Yarn over.
16. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have three loops on your hook.
17. Yarn over.
18. Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook. Now you have two loops on your hook.
19. Yarn over.
20. Pull the yarn through both loops. You have just made a treble crochet.
21. Then make two more treble crochets in the next two stitches.
22. Chain three.
23. Skip the next single crochet, the picot stitch and the next single crochet and make three treble crochets in the next three stitches.
24. Then repeat: chain three, skip the next single crochet, the picot stitch and the next single crochet and make three treble crochets in the next three stitches.
25. The row should end with three treble crochets.
Row 3
26. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.
27. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.
28. Then make two more single crochets in the next two stitches.
29. Make a single crochet in the next chain.
30. Make a picot stitch in the next chain: make a single crochet, chain four and another single crochet.
31. Make a single crochet in the next chain.
32. Then make three single crochets in the next three stitches.
33. In the next three chains make a single crochet, a picot stitch and another single crochet.
34. Then make three single crochets in the next three stitches.
35. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. For the rest of the patterns repeat rows 2-3.
