How to Crochet the Blueberry Stitch Tutorial
I’m excited to share with you a beautiful crochet stitch called the Blueberry Stitch! We will use puff stitches and double crochet to get a super cute effect.
Use this stitch for scarves, blankets, and more!
Materials:
- Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
- H/8 Crochet Hook
Notes:
- The Stitch pattern is a multiple of 6+3
- Ch 3 at beginning of rows counts as a stitch
Special Stitch:
Puff Stitch: YO, insert hook into indicated st. YO, pull up loop. (YO, insert hook into same st, YO, pull up loop) 2 times. YO, pull through 6 loops on hook, YO pull through last 2 loops on hook.
Instructions:
Fsc a multiple of 6+3 (to start with a chain stitch, you will need a multiple of 6+4, and then a row of single crochet).
Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc, here and throughout) dc in next 2 sts. *Ch 1, sk next st, puff st in next st. Ch 1, sk next st, dc in next 3 sts. Rep from * across row. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1 (does not count as st, here and throughout), sc in first 3 sts. *Sc in next ch sp, sc in next puff st, sc in next ch sp. Sc in next 3 dc. Rep from * across row. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, puff st in next st. *Ch 1, sk next st, dc in next 3 sts. Ch 1, sk next st, puff st in next st. Rep from * until one st is left. Dc in last st. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts. *Sc in next ch sp. Sc in next 3 dc. Sc in next ch sp, sc in next puff st. Rep from * till one st left. Sc in last st.
