Instructions

Row 1

1. Start by chaining a multiple of ten plus two. You will start working in the second chain from your hook.

2. So, make a single crochet in the second chain from your hook.

3. Chain one.

4. Skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

5. Then repeat. Chain chain one, skip one stitch and make a single crochet in the next stitch.

6. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a single crochet.

Row 2

7. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

8. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

9. Chain one and make a single crochet in the next single crochet.

10. Then repeat. Chain one and make a single crochet in the next single crochet.

11. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row.

12. At the end of the row make the last single crochet in the last stitch.

Row 3

13. Chain one and turn your work around. Chain one does not count as a stitch.

14. Make a single crochet in the first stitch.

15. Chain five. Next you will skip the next two chain one spaces and make a slip stitch in the next chain one space two rows below (in row 1).

16. So, skip the next two chain one spaces and insert your hook bringing the next chain one in the first row to the front.

17. Yarn over.

18. Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook.

19. Pull the first loop through the second one. You have just made a slip stitch!

20. Chain five.

21. Skip the next two chain one spaces and make a single crochet in the next single crochet of the previous row.

22. Then repeat. Chain five.

23. Skip the next two chain one spaces and make a slip stitch in the next chain one space two rows below.

24. Chain five.
