How to Crochet the Crossed Cluster Stitch Photo Tutorial

This Crossed Cluster crochet stitch pattern is the perfect crochet stitch for blankets!
And it would probably work well in any weight of yarn! I love this Crossed Cluster Stitch. It is easy to work (a two row repeat and one of those rows is a simple row of single crochet), and has a similar look and feel on the front as it does on the back.

- To begin make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch you will need a multiple of 3 + 2 stitches for your foundation chain.
- For example, ch 32.
The Crossed Cluster Stitch Pattern
Row One: Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook and into each ch across. Ch 3 (counts as a dc), turn.
Row Two: *Sk the next sc, CL in the next sc, now working around the CL just made, CL in the previous sk st, dc in the next st; Rpt from * across ending with a dc in the final st. Ch 1, turn.

For the rest of the pattern simply repeat rows 2 and 3 for as long as you would like. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
