How to Crochet the Heather Stitch Photo Tutorial
I love an easy, but textured crochet pattern that is reversible like this Heather Stitch crochet pattern!
The Heather Stitch is a one-row repeat. The fabric is beautiful with a wonderful drape and a light and subtle texture that runs throughout. It would be a wonderful stitch for a variety of different projects!

Notes
- This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in a solid colour.
- To begin make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch, you will need an even number of stitches for your foundation chain. For example, ch 30.
Instruction
Row One: Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook, *ch 1, sc in the next st; Rpt from * across. Ch 2, turn.
Row Two: Hdc2tog inserting your hook in the 1st and 2nd sc sts, *ch 1, hdc2tog working in the previous sc and the next sc (skipping the ch-1 sps in between); Rpt from * across, hdc in the final st. Ch 2, turn.
Row Three: Hdc2tog working in the space between the 1st hdc and into the next ch-1 sp (skipping the hdc2tog in between), *ch 1, hdc2tog working in the previous ch-1 sp and the next ch-1 sp; Rpt from * across working your final hdc2tog in the previous ch-1 sp and the final ch-2 sp, hdc in the final ch-2 sp. Ch 2, turn.
And that’s it!
For the rest of the pattern simply repeat row 3. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
