How to Crochet the Timber Stitch Photo Tutorial
The Timber Stitch crochet pattern features a near solid texture with an interesting design.
It’s going to be a wonderful stitch pattern for a variety of crochet projects including those that are reversible. Although the two sides are not exactly the same, they are both pretty and quite close in resemblance.

Pattern Notes:
- This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in a solid colour.
- To begin make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch you will need a multiple of two stitches plus one (2 + 1) for your foundation chain. For example, ch 31
Instructions:
Row One: Sc2tog in the 3rd and 4th ch, *ch 1, sc2tog over the next 2 sts; rpt from * across to the final st, ch 1, hdc in the final st. Ch 2, turn.
Row Two: Sc2tog in the next ch-1 sp and st, *ch 1, sc2tog over the next ch-1 sp and the next st; rpt from * across to the final st, ch 1, hdc in the final st. Ch 2, turn.
And that’s it!
For the rest of the pattern simply repeat row two. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
